Downtown Bowling Green’s outdoor amphitheater is the site of many festivals and events throughout the year. With over 4.5 acres of lush grass and landscaping, the park also includes a refreshing water feature that is very popular in the summer. The park hosts free Concerts in the Park on Friday nights in July and August and is home of the Bowling Green International Festival the last Saturday in September.
If nature calls while relaxing in the park, head over to the restored 1921 Standard Oil Station situated on the corner of the park at College Street and Seventh Avenue. This award-winning preservation project now features public restrooms inside and a fabulous photo opportunity outside and is becoming a must-see stop for auto enthusiasts, history buffs and general visitors to the city. The building’s history is explained on a full-color storyboard.
